Mundo Latino, the Latino exhibit presents Futbol Soccer, A Look at the World’s Sport.
This exhibit will cover the history and its significance and how it has a captive hold on children and adults.
Featured inside the Women's Museum are daily attractions of the exhibit, great shopping of Mexican jewelry, clothes, purses and textiles from Latin America and lively presentations of Latin music and dance.
Open daily from 10:00 am - 7:00 pm. Entrance is FREE.
Mundo Latino, Celebration of Cultures, the Latino exhibit presented during Hispanic Heritage month at The State Fair of Texas, September 26 – October 19, 2014 in Dallas, Texas is produced by Strategic Events.
In its 19th year at the State Fair, Mundo Latino features an exhibit highlighting the rich Latino culture. The theme changes every year featuring dance, music, food and educational programs from artists and groups representing the Latin world including Mexico, Spain, Central & South America, and the United States.
The State Fair of Texas, the largest state fair in the country, is the perfect setting for this Latino cultural exhibit. Mundo Latino is presented in The Womens Museum Building in Fair Park on 3800 Parry Avenue. “Futbol Soccer” is the theme for the 2014 Mundo Latino at the State Fair of Texas.
Mundo Latino has multiple components which feature a Hispanic focus during the 24 days of the Fair. These programs feature a distinct outreach to the Latino community:
Stage
24 days of performances by local and regional Hispanic musicians and performers. This high profile venue is on the Official State Fair Map under "stages".
Mercado
Hispanic businesses display their products and services to the attendees of Mundo Latino. This shopping experience is listed as an Official Shopping destination in the Daily Guide.
Textile Fair
On site, Textile Fair guides visitors through an array of beautiful clothing, purses, hats and other garments made from textiles found in Latin countries such as Mexico, Peru, Caribbean and the Americas. Join the beauty of Latin Culture though textile.
Little Mexico Photo Exhibit
Photo exhibit on Little Mexico area presented by St Ann's Alumnae association. This exhibit profiles families who grew up in the original Little Mexico community.
Additional exhibits presented within Mundo Latino are the Legoland Mural and Defenders of Freedom from Texas.
The purpose of the exhibit is to showcase the rich Latin culture to the visitors of the State Fair of Texas.
